Working with dangerous goods on an inland barge or terminal comes with inherent risks. Transafe’s First Aid Program focuses specifically on situations that may occur in inland shipping or the tank storage sector.

The First Aid Program has been specifically developed for high-risk sectors: inland shipping and terminals. During this hands-on training day, participants not only learn the fundamentals of first aid, but also how to respond effectively in work environments where hazardous substances are present.
Participants practice with scenarios directly linked to their daily work, such as treating chemical burns, providing first aid after inhalation of hazardous vapors, or correctly using an AED in the event of cardiac arrest. The strong focus on realistic cases ensures immediately applicable knowledge, significantly increasing the likelihood of correct and effective action during emergencies.
Upon completion, participants receive a certificate of participation and possess the skills to make a difference in critical situations, whether on board a vessel or at a terminal.
The most popular other courses within the Transafe Academy focus on safety, professional competence, and legislation. From first aid, communication, and team building to practical terminal training, always with a focus on a safe, professional work environment.
