Process Operator A

The Process Operator A and Process Operator B programmes form the starting point for a career as an operator in tank storage. The programmes are practice-oriented, aligned with the daily work at terminals and combine theory with workplace learning. Thanks to the Tank Storage Elective Module, these programmes are distinct from other operator courses and fully tailored to the sector.

The classroom variant of Process Operator A is taken in group sessions, lasts one year and is concluded with the Process Operator A exam.

An entry test is required prior to admission in order to safeguard the quality of education and provide targeted teaching.

To participate in the programme, one of the following prior qualifications is required: LBO, VBO, VMBO basic or advanced vocational track, VMBO theoretical track, MAVO, MAVO-VBO, VMBO mixed track, entry-level qualification or basic vocational training (MBO level 2).

The Process Operator A programme consists of general operator lessons enriched with the Tank Storage Elective Module. The tank storage lessons are unique and only available through the Transafe Academy.

In this variant, the proven VAPRO online training for Process Operator A or B is combined with the Tank Storage Elective Module. This program results in a VAPRO diploma (not an MBO diploma) along with a Tank Storage certificate.

Students receive 20 hours of support from a VAPRO instructor, plus an additional 5 hours of support from a Transafe Academy instructor specializing in tank storage. The program includes practice questions, practical assignments, and a final assessment.
