Tank Storage Elective Module

The Tank Storage elective module is specifically designed to give MBO students additional knowledge and skills directly related to working in the tank storage industry. The module provides in-depth learning in processes, safety, and technology, increasing the chances of a successful career start in the sector.

In this elective, students dive deeper into the operations of a modern tank storage terminal. Attention is given to terminal equipment such as loading arms, loading racks, and vapor recovery systems, as well as processes like blending, blanketing, and butanization.

Product knowledge is also covered, from petroleum to chemicals and food-grade products, including their properties, risks, and threshold values.

Safety is a key theme throughout: students learn to work in accordance with the PGS-29 guidelines, ADN/ADR, and international standards. Topics such as explosion safety, risk methodologies, MOC procedures, and LOTO are also extensively addressed.
