Mooring a vessel is a high-risk operation. A proper risk analysis identifies the specific risks involved.
Based on this risk analysis, procedures are developed that must be known to all parties involved and consistently applied in practice. Because seeing is remembering, we increasingly choose to visualize certain processes.
