Sandra de Bont, Director of Transafe Academy, has been included in the Top 100 Tank Storage Influencers 2025 by Storage Terminals Magazine.

An important milestone for Transafe Academy. Sandra de Bont has been listed in the Top 100 Tank Storage Influencers 2025 by Storage Terminals Magazine. The international list recognises professionals who demonstrate measurable influence on safety, knowledge sharing, energy transition and professionalisation within the tank storage sector.

The recognition was celebrated during the Top 100 Networking Event on 12 February in London, held in the same week as International Energy Week (IE Week). Professionals from across the globe attended, including terminal operators, traders, technology suppliers and industry associations. The broad representation reflects the international and dynamic nature of the sector.

During the event, Sandra spoke with Kelly Regalado of Chane, who was also included in the Top 100. Their discussion focused on the visibility and position of women within the tank storage sector.

While traditionally male-dominated, the sector is clearly evolving. More women are taking on key roles in trading, operations, safety and management. Not as exceptions, but as a natural part of decision-making processes. The next step lies in structural development and leadership, ensuring long-term retention of talent.

The event was supported by a broad group of international sponsors, reinforcing its professional and global character. The magazine’s ambition to host its largest edition yet in 2026 reflects a sector that continues to grow, not only in scale but also in collaboration.

For Sandra, the inclusion in the Top 100 is not an individual award, but confirmation of the role Transafe Academy plays within the international tank storage community. Together with other professionals shaping the sector, influence is about more than visibility. It is about raising standards, making knowledge accessible and strengthening collaboration. This defines forward-looking leadership in a sector undergoing change.
