We are proud to share that our colleague Wesley has been nominated for Young Port Talent 2026! A great recognition for someone who is deeply committed to developing people and organisations within the Port of Rotterdam.

A fresh perspective on learning, connecting and building the future of the Port of Rotterdam

Accelerating growth through connection and knowledge sharing

As a candidate for Young Port Talent 2026, Wesley has one clear ambition: to accelerate development. Not only for young professionals, but also for career switchers. People who consciously choose a career in the port, often coming from very different backgrounds.

His belief is clear:
“The future of the port is not built by the new generation alone, but by everyone who brings fresh perspectives and commits fully.”

By making knowledge more accessible and actively connecting people, Wesley shows how diversity in background drives innovation, collaboration and growth.

Learning as the engine of the port

For Wesley, learning is not an add-on, but the foundation of a future-ready port. A working environment where people continuously develop, feel confident to ask questions and take pride in their profession.

His mission as Young Port Talent 2026:

  • Make learning more accessible

  • Connect people and organisations

  • Highlight the strength of diverse talent

  • Contribute to solving labour shortages in the port

Through this approach, he actively supports a culture where young talent and career switchers work together to strengthen the port.
