After many years of dedicated commitment, we say goodbye to a valued colleague: instructor Gerard Smit.
On behalf of Transafe Academy, Gerard has delivered training with great dedication and enthusiasm for our client Standic Dordrecht. As he now retires, we take a moment to reflect on his valuable contribution and express our sincere thanks.
Gerard is living proof that passion for the profession knows no age. As a fit and energetic personality, he always stood in front of the class with enthusiasm. That energy was contagious. Participants immediately noticed: this was someone who not only shared knowledge, but also knew how to engage and inspire people. His lessons were strong in content, practice-oriented and enriched with recognisable examples, bringing the subject matter to life.
What truly distinguished Gerard as an instructor was his teaching style. With humour, involvement and sharp insights, he created an open and safe learning environment. There was room for questions, interaction and discussion, keeping participants actively engaged. This approach was highly appreciated by the participants at Standic Dordrecht and contributed to a positive and effective learning experience.
In addition, Gerard was a reliable and professional partner to work with. He honoured his commitments, prepared his lessons thoroughly and contributed from his extensive experience. For Transafe Academy, he was an instructor you could rely on and who aligned seamlessly with our vision of high-quality, people-focused training.
Although Gerard is retiring, we know that standing still is not in his nature. With his sporty and positive mindset, he will undoubtedly remain active. Still, he will be missed in the classroom by participants, by Standic Dordrecht and by us at Transafe Academy.
During the diploma ceremony of the final group at Standic Dordrecht, we will personally say farewell to Gerard. A fitting moment to acknowledge his dedication and thank him for everything he has meant to us.
On behalf of the entire Transafe Academy team: Gerard, thank you for your many years of commitment, professionalism and inspiration. We wish you a healthy, active and above all enjoyable retirement.
